Brevard Insurance & Marketing Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Brevard Insurance & Marketing hosted a 60th-anniversary celebration and ribbon-cutting on October 26. The celebration featured drinks, light snacks, music and door prizes.

Brevard Insurance & Marketing was founded in 1957 by William Kabboord Sr. after he moved to Cocoa Beach from Kalamazoo, Michigan to join his brother, John Kabboord Sr. who moved to the city to begin Ocean Realty. As William Sr.’s children began getting older, a few of them joined the business. David started working for his father in 1969 and Steven joined shortly after. William Kabboord III, (affectionately known as Bill) who is now the agency owner, began working for his father in 1979. While Steven has left the agency to pursue his passion for martial arts and opened Shorin Ryu School of Karate, Bill has continued to run the company and is molding his daughters, Heather Alexander and Holly Kabboord-Hemelgarn, to take over when he retires. This past summer, the fourth generation, Kaley Alexander, Bill’s granddaughter, began interning for the agency.

The agency services all of Florida with a focus on Brevard County and Cocoa Beach. It offers all types of insurance: homeowners, condos, personal and commercial auto, business insurance and more. The agency even insured the space shuttle. For more information, visit
