Port Canaveral will be the home port for Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Elation as they launch a new year-round schedule of four- and five-day cruises beginning May 12, 2019. Carnival announced the newly renovated ship will encompass four-day “long weekend” cruises departing Thursdays to Freeport and Nassau and five-day voyages departing Mondays and Saturdays to Amber Cove and Grand Turk.
“Port Canaveral is proud of its partnership with Carnival Cruise Line, and we look forward to welcoming Carnival Elation in 2019,” Port CEO Capt. According to Carnival, the 2,130 passenger Carnival Elation recently underwent a massive makeover that included the addition of an expansive new WaterWorks aqua park, 38 new cabins, 98 balconies to existing staterooms and a variety of exciting food and beverage concepts. These include Guy’s Burger Joint, the poolside RedFrog Rum Bar and BlueIguana Tequila Bar, Cherry on Top, a new Camp Ocean children’s play area and a new miniature golf course. All staterooms were also renovated to include island-inspired interiors inspired by Carnival Elation’s tropical itineraries.
