White Lightning Sangria 3

Flavour Kitchen & Wine Bar’s Jason Bunin Mixes Up a Refreshing Summer Sipper

There’s nothing like an icy-cold cocktail on a warm summer day. At Flavour Kitchen & Wine Bar, Cocoa Beach’s latest addition to upscale eateries with spirits, chef Jason Bunin has created a delicious and refreshing handcrafted sangria “potion” using white wine and chamomile tea.

Jason recently relocated to Florida from NYC with his mixologist wife, Caron, to live the culinary version of the American dream by moving to the beach and opening their own restaurant. Now co-owners with Andrew Bunin, their dream has been realized.

Cool & Refreshing White Lightning Sangria

1 gallon chardonnay

64 ounces apple juice

1/2 quart granulated sugar

2 quarts water

1 box camomile tea

3 green apples, diced

1 bag white grapes

Bring sugar, water and box of tea to a boil. Remove from heat and let stand for 15 minutes to cool. Remove tea bags and squeeze (without breaking them), draining liquid into a large glass bowl. Save liquid and discard bags. In same glass container combine remaining liquids with the tea and sugar water solution. Separately dice 3 green apples and mix with grapes. Soak fruit in white wine and serve in glass with cubed ice.
