Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce Presents Fiesta Brevard
Sponsored by the Nonprofit Task Force Committee of the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, more than 30 organizations that serve children, families and seniors, along with those that care for animals and promote community service, are scheduled to participate in Fiesta Brevard. A percentage of the fee from each admission ticket sold is kept by the organization that sells it, providing an opportunity to also fundraise to help support each in their mission. Along with information, each organization will offer a game or raffle item to engage guests. Fiesta Brevard also features live entertainment, including Latin music and dance performances, the annual Fiesta Hat Parade and contest, and a selection of food and beverages.

Jess Parrish Medical Foundation Hosts Fran Gerrett Memorial Golf Classic
“It’s all about the kids!” The Jess Parrish Medical Foundation will be hosting the Fran Gerrett Memorial Golf Classic on April 12 from noon to 7 p.m. in order to help children reach their full potential through the programs and services offered at the Children’s Center. All proceeds of the one-day golf classic will benefit the Children’s Center, a service of Parrish Healthcare and one-stop childhood resource center providing an array of health, education and human services under one roof for children of all ages and abilities and their families.
weVENTURE’s W.E. Mean Business Expo 2019
On March 2, the Women Entrepreneurs Mean Business Expo 2019 showcased women-owned businesses from Brevard, Indian River and St. Lucie counties. Since the nonprofit program was established in 2007 on the Florida Tech campus in Melbourne, the group has trained more than 10,000 clients and helped more than 62 business owners grow and expand their businesses through the IGNITE 360 Mentoring Program. In the past 12 months, they’ve also helped clients create and maintain 47 jobs, as well as increase revenues of more than 40 percent on average. Women from multiple counties attended the event.
